MDMFA Thesis Project
The Las Vegas Enforcers is a dynamic and bold hockey team that embodies the spirit of power, dedication, and unity. They represent a community of like-minded individuals who share an unbreakable bond with their team.

The design problem identified is the need to increase awareness about the brand among hockey enthusiasts and motivate and inspire the audience to engage with the brand in a meaningful way actively.

In the process of addressing the design problem and formulating a comprehensive solution, several key aspects of the Enforcers Hockey Team's brand identity were examined and redefined. This endeavor aimed to enhance the audience's need for recognition. The journey from identifying the initial problem to devising a solution can be outlined through the design decisions made in the various stages of the project.
Logo
Multiple design ideas were drafted in the beginning of the project. Certain icon designs were explored, such as objects related to hockey gear, different "powerful" mascots such as bears and wolves, and environmental features like snowy mountains. The wolf design would be chosen after consideration to others based on how wolves are considered powerful animals with a sense of dedication.

Research shows that amateur and major hockey leagues feature their logos with a thick outline and are illustrated and animated in detail. The Enforcers logo primarily features the teams wolf mascot designed in the teams colors and the thick outline around the logo. The font used in the logo was unique and inspired by the font called "fake identity” but modified to have dominant elongated features and better legibility.
Billboard, Ticket Package, & Stationery
Billboard: Instead of a traditional highway billboard, a jumbotron was designed to reach the target audience in a large setting all at once throughout any game. It supports the team in its efforts to target its brand awareness needs and define the purpose of the brand and its message. The design features interactive elements and incorporates video that would grab the audience's attention to reminisce on past games and wins, while getting excited for the game that is about to occur.
Ticket Package:  The main desirable point of the ticket is the artwork of each player featured on each ticket. Fans are encouraged to collect each ticket by attending multiple games as they are a collectible medium that allows for player autographs and unique artwork opportunities enhancing their desirability.
Stationery: The stationery is a package that defines the character traits of the brand such as dedicated, powerful and bold represented by the heavy and dark designs.
Website
The website design prioritized navigation ease, with critical information like news and updates positioned at the fore front. Additionally, responsive design considerations were made to ensure that the website could be viewed on any device. The design of the website is dark, smoky, and functional to allow viewers to get every piece of information they need before any event or to allow new fans to understand the team.
Social Media
The approach to the social media design revolves around delivering impactful advertisements to the fans. The use of high-quality photography was prioritized while maintaining a consistently serious tone in every post to effectively engage the audience and reinforce the Enforcers' brand identity.
Brand Playbook
The goal was to create a comprehensive guide that not only reflected the Enforcers' identity but also resonated with the target audience. I focused on designing using elements presented through the brand vision board, ensuring that the playbook effectively conveyed the team's character and messaging, while aligning with the visual identity, creating a cohesive and impactful resource for all stakeholders.
